Terri Casey-Aros - M.A.
English
Terri is from County Tyrone in Ireland. She obtained a BA and MA in English Literature from Queen's University Belfast and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education from Canterbury Christ Church University. After teaching in England for 6 years, Terri moved to Denmark in 2018 to work at ISIB. Terri has strong links to Denmark because she attended Aarhus Universitet in 2007-2008 as an exchange student and loved the culture and nature so much that she was delighted to have the chance to return and teach here. She has loved the relaxed pace of life in Ikast so much that she has bought a house in the area.
In her spare time, Terri also loves to read modern poetry and is passionate about dusty old Victorian novels by writers like Thomas Hardy and Charles Dickens. After years of dodging PE lessons and allowing her gym clothes to grow mothballs, Terri has finally been bitten by the 'keep-fit' bug and has been enjoying learning how to do hand stands and pull ups at GymLab Ikast. She believes that we should never stop learning new skills because learning gives us enormous power and satisfaction. She aims to live by the philosophy that we all have enormous potential as learners and that with the right mindset, we can achieve anything.
