Laura Valle-Vilmand

Spanish; Mentor; Year 7 Homeroom

Laura was born in Brazil to a family of Argentinian and Italian descent. She can speak in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, and is currently in the process of mastering Danish.

In 2016, she arrived in Denmark via an exchange program and subsequently decided to settle and pursue her studies in this wonderful country. She initially studied Service Economics and later earned a bachelor’s degree in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Later, she obtained a degree in teaching Spanish as a foreign language.

Drawing from her multicultural background and her educational experiences in Brazil, Argentina, and Spain, Laura chose to work at the International School Ikast-Brande. Her desire to utilize her language skills and share her experiences of living abroad led her to this decision. Her role at the school allows her to employ innovation daily. She is currently the Year 7 homeroom teacher, instructs Spanish to primary and secondary students, and leads the mentorship program.

Laura resides in Herning with her Danish husband and their young daughter. She enjoys exploring Denmark and traveling to other countries during her leisure time.
