Donnacha Burke - M.Sc.

Science; English as a Second Language Teacher

Donnacha is from Cork, Ireland. His academic history includes a bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Environmental Science and a master’s degree (MSc) in Ecology. He taught at university during his studies, which sparked his interest in teaching, and Donnacha subsequently obtained a degree in teaching English as an Additional Language (EAL) and a Postgraduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) degree. He feels lucky to work with children of all ages, and to see them become more confident in themselves.
Donnacha moved to Denmark in 2017 with his partner and has fallen in love with Danish design and people. His interests include fitness, reading, travelling, and learning new languages.

Donnacha feels at home in the ‘hygge’ culture of Denmark, and enjoys working in the innovative, inspiring and creative environment that is the International School Ikast-Brande.
