Cambridge International Curriculum

ISIB follows the Cambridge International Curriculum for both the Primary and Secondary sections of the school.

Cambridge qualifications provide learners with a global passport to success. They offer reliable, rigorous and flexible assessment, leading to internationally recognised qualifications.

Primary curriculum

​

Cambridge Primary is an education programme for young learners that combines a world-class curriculum, high-quality support for teachers and integrated assessment.  It gives schools a curriculum framework to develop skills, knowledge and understanding in younger learners across a range of subject areas.

Cambridge Primary has been designed to be culturally sensitive. It includes top-quality teaching and assessment resources appropriate for teaching and learning in local and international schools.

Secondary curriculum

Key stage 3: Years 7 to 9

 

When a student enters the secondary department of school, he/she is in Year 7 and will be learning all subjects in English, based on the Cambridge International Curriculum until the end of Year 8.'

​

The students have the opportunity to study English, Maths, Science, Art, Danish, German, History, Information and Communication Technology, Music, Physical Education, and PSHE.

​

Years 7 and 8 focuses on providing the foundation knowledge for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education work in Year 10 and 11.

Key stage 4: Years 10 to 11

 

Cambridge IGCSE is the world’s most popular international qualification for the youth of today. It is recognised by leading universities and employers worldwide, and is an international passport to progression and success. Developed over 25 years ago, it is tried, tested and trusted by schools worldwide.

 

The Cambridge IGCSE curriculum offers a variety of routes for learners with a wide range of abilities, including those whose first language is not English.

Cambridge IGCSE helps improve performance by developing skills in creative thinking, enquiry and problem solving. It is the perfect springboard to advanced study.
